Glauberite
Glauberite is a sodium calcite sulphate. Named in 1808 after its similiarity to the Glauber's salt chemical, the chemical being named after Johann Glauber who was a German alchemist. It can be yellow, reddish, grey, white or form as powdery sodium sulphate. It has a slightly saline taste and turns white in water and fuses to a white enamel. It forms primarily when marine or salt-lake water evaporates, but can also form in volcanic fumeroles and basaltic igneous rocks.
As a healing crystal glauberite is an excellent way of clearing thought and ridding ourselves of confusion when worked through the crown chakra. It is also great for headaches.
