Azurite

Azurite takes its name from the Persian word 'lazhuward', meaning blue. It is a deep blue copper carbonate hydroxide and was used as a blue pigment in European art in the 15th to 17th centuries. It is probable that it is the pigment used in the blue glaze of ancient Egyptian pottery. An aid to intuitive and psychic development, this is a good stone for anyone seeking spiritual enlightenment, raising consciousness to a new level and the understanding of the effect of the emotions and the mind on the body. A good stone for mediation and detox.
