European Grey wolves probably evolved from an ancestor from North America (Canis lepophagus), they then migrated the Bering Land Bridge over to Europe where they became very widespread. Middle Eastern subspecies of Canis lupus are the ancestor of all modern domesticated dogs (Canis lupus familiaris).

This fossil is 100% genuine and has not been restored.
