Pair of Madagascan Ammonites

Ammonites lived throughout the world’s oceans during the Mesozoic (Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods). They were an extremely successful order, with ammonites found from all over the world.

This pair is cut in half and polished to display the inner structure of the ammonite. The specimen has been repaired but the detail is retained.
