Amethyst

Deep purple amethyst on a bed of quartz and rock from Brazil.  The earliest recognition of Amethyst can be found in ancient Greece where the word 'Amethyst' came to mean not drunk or intoxicated and was worn to prevent drunkeness.   Amethyst can raise lower vibrations to higher levels and help to overcome addictions and blockages.  From a healing point of view Amethyst can boost production of hormones and strengthen the cleansing of organs.
